Furniture production at one with the forest.
Asahikawa furniture was first created when trees from the forests of Hokkaido’s Daisetsuzan mountain range were harvested to create furniture for everyday living. Over the course of a century, towns from Higashikawa to Higashikagura throughout Asahikawa joined together as a leading force in Japanese furniture production. Using the skills and experience we have cultivated thus far—Asahikawa furniture is now entering a new era of production.
