| Work concept |
| Tension and light. The screen is inspired by early aircraft with the elegant
skeleton of the wing being shown off by the tension of the fabric stretched
over it. The fine cotton transforms from opaque to translucent with back
lighting, the cotton becomes a screen for the shadows of the frame. When
folded the panels nestle into themselves for a neat resolution to the design. |

The work would be effective with the lighting. It is an innovative work. (Kita)
I can feel the air current with the screen. It is finely detailed. It needs an ingenuity with the jointing hinges. (Shibuya)
I had a good feeling toward the light and flying image of the work, which reminds us of a wing. The contrast between light and shadow was impressive. It needs a means to obscure the hinges. (Jakobsen) |
